I shouldnt be allowed out unsupervised near Rolex shops!!

Well ive been pining over a DD1803 for a couple of weeks and after lots of research and asking some of the fellow members here for advice (CrownCollection ) i decided not to buy it

so in my sunday boredom i decided to to the rounds of the second hand dealers here in KL and what did i stumble on ........ a beautiful 18308
Now i know the bark finish isnt the most desired but this thing sang to me... and to be honest seeing the pictures of the Bark it never appealed ... in saying that in real life i really liked it! this thing is immaculate with almost NO stretch(or wear if that is a taboo word for it) and its dial is beautiful... now i cannot say ive seen a "Barked diamond" bezel before but the dealer assures me its genuine and not very common.
He was going to give me a typical green rolex box until i spotted the president one he had on the shelf.... now im not sure if its the correct period box as info is not flowing on these ones that i can find after googling the number (72.00,01) but i like it lol!
Any comments are welcomed and any info on it beyond what i already know would be great

I like it! Appears to be in pristine condition. Not something you see very often.
Big congrats on this beauty

Sharp watch; congratulations!!! I love the bark and diamonds; that's a lot of texture!!! I've got the 1803 and I like the sapphire crystal on yours. Again, congratulations!!!

I love the plexi on the 1803 sadly the one I was looking at needed a dial and the bracelet repaired (1977 model) and I just couldn't justify the added cost to make it worth while... and I think the non-quickest would have annoyed me lol!
This one is double quickset so no dramas there

It's not a common watch. If it is to be had for a good price then its totally worth it if you like it!

Setting the 1803 isn't really all that bad; you just need the know how. Congratulations again!!!
