Seriously, I wouldn't engrave. A letter accompanying the watch, even a nice card. As for the sentiment, I will offer what my dad said to me, when he gave me his own Omega Speedmaster Professional...

Thats an amazing gift. I gave my son a GMT around his age and he cherishes it and understands how special it is. I’m glad you got the watch already as you’d probably get a boat load of responses telling you not to buy a watch like that for a 15yr old.
