Logged on to the website 2 seconds after 6:00:00 NIST. Waited in line. Sold out after less than one minute.

Yep. That was irritating. Got one in my cart. Got a message to say there will be a wait to check it. While waiting to checkout it ultimately said too bad - sold out. Grrr...

I think you are right, but the wait will be till March of 2022 for delivery

When I see one listed by a grey dealer I cannot believe the markup. Its absolutely insane. Its worst than most rolex SS models. Ming and Kurono (another micro-brand I love) are insane on the secondary market.

I was lucky enough to get in on the Kurono Chrono 2 release but am waiting for them to contact me that they want the second part of my payment and that they will ship the watch. They have definitely started to ship since people are posting pics on IG. Did you get in on that release? I like both of these brands but would never pay the secondary market prices if I can't get in on the releases.

Once we get to a "new normal," we should organize a Northeast get together in NYC since there seem to be a couple of us in MA, CT, NY and NJ that like these microbrands.

Sadly I wasn't lucky enough to get a Kurono. I keep checking secondary in the off chance someone decides to sell it for close to MSRP to make a fellow WIS happy but no dice so far. TBH I would def. prefer the Kurono chronograph over the Ming 17.09 but both very nice pieces.

We should def. all link up once the new normal sets in.

Saw the first Chrono 2 on Chronos site at $10k yesterday....now there's two at that price. Not sure how many they have sent out so far but they should be able to figure out who the reseller in the UAE and Singapore.

Ming 17.01 for $3200. Came with all papers and a few extra straps. Tempting but I’m holding out for the burgundy tomorrow.

Not a terrible deal, still expensive. I would hold for the watch you want. 6 month wait is wild. I guess this is the rolex wait list feeling.

I don't mind waiting - if I'm able to get in tomorrow they are shipping in March 2022.

The piece is very intriguing. I've never held or handled a Ming but have heard nothing but positive reviews. The case size and design as well as the dial are very interesting.
Missed out today! Putting in an order tomorrow morning.

Wanting to go for blue... y'all think it's too "bright"? Burgundy is beautiful too, but I have a spot for a nice blue watch in my collection. Really on the fence.

Tough call - I have a few blue pieces - nothing in burgundy though - so that’s why I’m leaning that way

There’s a 10-minute ordering window tomorrow at 1:00pm GMT.

Per their site: “All orders received during this time will receive production allocation”

Logged in one second past 6:00:00. Successfully placed a deposit on the Blue. Ming initially rejected the first two attempts to approve my deposit due to a busy server; but accepted the deposit on my third attempt. Transaction completed by 6:08. I wonder what the final numbers of orders will be?

Grabbed one too. Wow their payment processor was slammed...Took ~10 attempts on 6 different cards to get a non-busy approval. Got burgundy.

From a thread in Reddit people are saying they are order number 4.7K. Wow, that is a lot of sales in 10 minutes.

Lol... sounds familiar. 4 attempts. 3 cards. Finally went through. Blue on order.
What a great marketing technique. I was a fish that totally grabbed the bait. The hook was set.
