**I.N.C.O.M.I.N.G.!!** (& a kind of 'Mini-GTG'!?!)

As many of you know I've been hankering after a Planet Ocean for quite some time now & our very own Chris (The GMTMaster) did me an absolutely fantastic deal on an Orange-Bezelled 45.5mm!!

I'd almost forgotten the sheer 'heft' & 'wrist-presence' of the PO as well as the confidence-inspiring feeling of 'indestructibility' that the watch has; & that's exactly what I want from my daily-wearer especially when working on Construction Sites & at our Waste Management & Recycling facility.

I've also long-lusted after a 16610 LV & Chris very kindly let me carefully try on one that his shop has set aside for another customer, (only with the owner/customer's permission though which I thought was very professional of Chris ) & although they're a great watch (& I still want one! ) I'm glad I bagged the PO now before Omega & their new ceramics (as well as their prices) get ever-more 'Rolex-like', & I'm sure my 2208.50.00 is going to prove itself more than worthy as my Seiko-Monster daily-wearer replacement!

The only downside though....?

I'd assumed that the PO bracelet length would be the same as my SMP's of old & Chris had very kindly supplied & fitted two half-links which is as I recall my old SMP bracelets fitting best........
Entirely my own fault for not waiting to try the watch on before asking for any adjustments to be made (& as is The Law according to Sod' ) either my wrist has shrunk or the PO bracelet's a tad bigger....?

Either way though the extra-links now need taking out & Chris is getting this done for me & the watch is now being sent to me next week!

So once again Chris thankyou for helping me throughout my purchase, thankyou for being so patient with me, & thankyou again for a truly great deal!

Huge Congrats Dan, always nice to get the one you want. Always great to hear when one TRF member helps another. Great job Chris.

Any chance we could see some close up PICs of the watch?

Great to see you all "dressed up" for the event... Where were you tie?

Where are the wrist pix of the PO and 16610LV?

So glad I could sort it out for you Dan It was great having both you and Kerry up to visit the shop, you'll have to see if you can save up for that eternity ring now I'm certain you'll love the Planet Ocean, it'll be a fine addition to your collection - turns out I'm helping out tomorrow now, so I'll get our repair clerk hot on the case, and we'll get it over to you by Thursday!

Also, a big, big thankyou for the watch box, it's absolutely gorgeous! Next time I have my camera, I'll definitely be posting pics - just need to find a couple of extra pieces to fill the empty slots!

All the best,

Chris

Fantastic, Dan! That's ace!
Now I want a PO 45mm too, just like Daniel Craig had in Quantum of Solace!
Mmm...Daniel....
Oops, sorry! Got distracted there for a moment.
Awesome watch and kudos to Chris as well!

Dan, HUGE congrats from me. From your posts, I know you've wanted one for awhile.

Any one who appreciates the PO as much as you do ( in contrast to some of the "Rolex-only" crowd on TRF) certainly is cool in my book.

Cheers to you and kudos also to the GMT Master Chris!

Mate I'd stupidly assumed Chris's shop being "oop North why aye by'eck ecky thoomp" would be something out of Coronation Street....
but the shopping centre was like Bluewater's posher cousin & Chris's shop was the poshest amongst them!!

I did apologise to Chris for the shorts & sandals that I was wearing and're (thankfully) not in shot too....
