Fine Writing Instruments

Anyone know of decent gold pens? MontBlanc all seem to be gold plated.

Looking for something nice to go with a TT Rollie.

That is what I do for a living as well.

As far as gold pens go, there are Mont Blanc solid gold pens made. They are real expencive. The list price of a solid gold Ball pen is $9700 and a 149 Fountain pen in 18k is $15,600 list.

There are other pen companies that offer some in 18k or platinum as well. Parker has a solid gold Duofold offered in Ball Pen and Fountain Pen. Montegrappa also has some limited editions as well.

Most of the pen companies offer solid gold trim on a few models that would normally have sterling silver trim. MB does that on thier 4810 series so they are not as high priced as a pen that is all solid gold.

Just my 2c
