"Trilogy set" on the dial - dealbraker or not ?

Do you consider this a dealbraker or just a nice feature ?

If all three were sold as a box set that would be cool. If sold individually I can take it or leave it.

Not a deal breaker but would prefer them, without the unnecessary text on the dial.

This has been my conclusion thus far. But if I truly cannot live with them I'll seek out a dial change or the individual limited editions.

For some, it will be, or will at least justify a pass on a purchase they were already not 100% on.

For 557, it won't be. This box set will sell out, eventually.

Dealbreaker for me. But I think the watches individually are a home run.

Dealbreaker. I put a deposit down immediately for the trilogy and then pulled it when I saw the writing on the dial.

If I wanted the trilogy I don't think it would be a deal breaker. In the videos I've seen you barely notice it at all. But I agree with Tom, it should have been on the case back.

Haha, what evil plan are you hatching? A dial swap perhaps?

Omega special/limited/numbered editions are too numerous, ............ they have milked the cow too much.

IMHO

The omega cow udders are heavily in overdraft. There is no milk left. However, Tudor seem to have ordered in some fresh cows 🤦🏻*♀️

Even powder milk is better than Tudor.

Agree it's a bit heavy handed. Would have been nice to get exact remakes of what the watches looked like when new

I like the inscription for the box set. Makes sense when lined up together to see the numbers. Plenty of watches carry dealer or special edition inscriptions on the front and there is no point pretending that these aren't reissues. Later iterations of Speedmaster of course had "Professional" written there and some also Mark ll.

Guys/Omega Enthusiasts:

As we all know now as Basel has come to a close, these watches are an absolute hit for a lot of people (myself included). Some of us have ordered the trilogy set but have a real issue with the trilogy # inscription on the dial (not news). For me personally, I know it's not an issue since eventually when the dials are available on the service market a year after release, I can always swap all of the 3 dials to have them clean like the regular limited editions....but that is really beyond the point. We all know this was an oversight @ best and in reality a big mistake on Omega's part and it needs to be rectified.

I have reached out to Omega myself (just took 15 minutes to draft an email) and voiced my complaint with my local boutique managers whom I have great relations with. And they have respectively wrote in emails to Omega also going up the proper channels to see what can be done about this. Some ideas kicked around are obviously engraving the numbers elsewhere (side or back of case), using a smaller inscription on the dial with black matching enamel so it's super difficult to see unless you look for it (think maybe something like the zr02 on the dark side of the moon), or even my suggestion....paying a bit extra to install the regular limited edition clean dials and keeping the trilogy dials enclosed separately upon delivery. This is definitely something they need to look at especially since no one outside of people following Basel coverage/watch blogs could know as Omega's own promotional material/webpage makes no mention or pictures of these inscriptions.

I urge others to do the same with their local boutiques so this issue is heard and hopefully something is done about it prior to delivery. There is precedent for this as we saw with the Tresor release that had the limited # inscription removed from the dial as well. Thanks in advance guys for the effort and I truly hope Omega recognizes this situation.

How about just trilogy? Dunno - I'd think the dials are complete by now. Can you imagine being number 447 and having it stamped there? Humphf

Hard to say. But I think it's worth the effort and there is precedent for this kind of change. For me ultimately I can always swap the dials but I am looking out for the release of this box....it could have been a spotless releases and they are clearly botching it over a silly oversight. LOL @ 447.
