GMTIIc won't start after manual wind?

The watch stopped yesterday because I wanted to test the power reserve. I manually wind the watch 30+ times yet it wouldn't start. Without thinking straight I "shake" the watch a little then it started to move...

I know you shouldn't shake the watch when it's unwind and stopped. Will this shake after winding it 30+ times cause any damage?

Thanks in advance!

I have to wind mine almost all the way (just before the wind limiter kicks in, you can feel or hear when this happens) before the second hand starts to move....otherwise I have to "gently" nudge the watch to get it going, then it will run flawlessly for almost exactly 48 hours in rest. I think it's just the normal nature of the movement. For comparison, I know an Omega Co-axial will start with ever so slight a movement and/or less than a full winding.

That's what surprised me because my Seamaster Pro usually starts moving after a few winds.

The GMTIIc is back to it's +1 second accuracy today. What a relief...
