Why Tudor?

Does anyone know why Mr. Wilsdorf picked the name "Tudor" for their second brand?

from the history section of http://www.tudorwatch.com/

It was around 1936 that a graphic symbol first appeared, a delicate TUDOR rose, emblem of the long-reigning English dynasty to which the brand owes its name.
Rolex was originally based in England. I dunno why Tudor was chosen but perhaps it is in recognition of the roots of the Rolex company.

There was considerable anti-German sentiment building in England during the 1930s, and Wilsdorf, who was born German, wanted the most English sounding name possible for his new watch brand. I also found it interesting to learn that it had been anti-German sentiment that caused him to relatively quickly abandon the "Wilsdorf" brand in favor of the invented moniker "Rolex" a couple decades before.
