Do u guys think it hit the bottom pricewise?
I think it s a great watch on bracelet and these days one of the least expensive steel PP on the secondary market with sublime complications.

I got mine new from an AD for 42K about four years ago and that seems to be the asking price for preowned now. Depends on how long you want to wait but there’s no guarantee it’s going lower.

I agree. I only seen the price for gen 1 go up in the last few years. Actually, I had a few dealers on 47th asking me to sell for more then I paid for it.

Easily one of the most comfortable watches I’ve owned. Great piece.

I was very tempted when it was in the low 30s for mint ones. Passed at the time just the fact that the Paris shop literally had 3 on display which I thought was bizarre, why not keep 2 in the back. I guess I'm not as excited when something's readily available. Surprisingly my wife loves the blue one until I told her the price.

If I don’t get a sports Patek off of a waiting list, this is the watch I’d seriously consider for a daily work watch. I wish it were a little more WR but at work it shouldn’t be an issue. The chronograph would come in very handy for me as well as the calendar.

I really like this watch. The white/silver dial is incredibly easy to read, which is a requirement for me these days.

asking price for pre loved is 42k but we know it doesn't sell for 42. My guess is that the selling price is more like 39k. That means that if you want off load it at some point the Grey dealer will give you like 33-34K

Or maybe not as it’s not instantly recognizable as a Patek sports watch which people associate with nautilus/aquanaut look and the demand wasn’t there and wont be there.

Any thoughts on this watch and it’s future?

That’s one of my favorite watches to be honest.

agree this sums up the dynamic well - lovely watch and I am seriously tempted.

However if for some reason I don't like the bracelet I could end up taking a big hit on resale

I always thought that the 5960/1a dial on the bracelet was the ugliest of the bunch, personal preference. Now that I've seen it on a strap, wow, it changes the entire look of it. Nice combi!

Not for a black dial it isn't.

In my book especially the white-dial 5960 is much better looking that any 5205. Also the chrono can be useful whereas the 24h ring of the 5205 takes up a lot of dial space for information of limited value. They could have omitted the mini power reserve on the 5960 though which is a little gimmicky. Beautiful shot below!

It's not the power reserve but the day and the month which they could have omitted and which are of limited value.

I wasn't a fan of it first, then I started liking it, but now I don't like it again. The bracelet doesn't do it for me...Same bracelet they use for the 5131P which puts me off a bit too.

I do love the 5960G in blue

Got a call last week from a friend who knows someone wanting to sell his 5960/01G-001 ( blue dial, WG, Brown strap) Was asking 47,500 and looks basically unworn. ( sorry dont have pics!). I absolutely love the watch and cant get out of my head. What would be a good offer on an excellent example of the 5960g or has he priced it fair? I looked around and see that they are listed around 50 and up but, where do these trade in todays market? Thanks

After owning a few watches, 5960/1A is still my favourite somehow. I have my bracelet changed to a patek leather strap and 5960G WG buckle though

I'm not a fan of the reference, but to each his own. I really like the original 5960P with grey dial...but I know many don't like that one.
