Don't know if it's usual for multiple Air Marshals to travel on the same flight, but if not, it makes you think something we don't know about might have been going on.

That story sounds very fishy. I can say with 100% certainty that all of the crew at 100% of the time knows when/who and where any armed air marshals are on the flight if any.

You don’t leave much room for errors - which in my experience happen on RJ’s with alarming regularity...but I agree the story was trumped up by a fuzzed off first officer.

I've held both of those jobs in my lifetime( flight crew and the LEO side), believe me there's no room for violating protocol. Now stupid people with badges that shouldn't have one do occasionally show up from time to time, as they're discovered hopefully they get remedied (displaying your weapon to a crew member is about the dumbest thing you can do IMO)
