Did you get the cylinder with your watch as an alternative to the PP wooden box or buy it as an extra?

With my 5320G I got a wooden box with an integral winder and had to buy the leather travel winder as an extra. Did your box have an integral winder?

The AD told me that 5320Gs now only come with a leather travel winder....

Officially you’re only supposed to get them free with automatic perpetual calendars. Otherwise about £600 if you order one.

I was informed when I purchased my 5320G earlier this year that Patek phased out the box winders in favor of the static box + cylinder winder.

I was not offered one for free when I picked my 5146R last month, but I was told I can buy one for about £250 iirc.

Just for clarity I was talking about the cylinder winder (not a box) when I said they officially come free with new automatic perpetuals. I paid £610 for one from an AD.

Custom 02 - my 5320G was supplied with the leather winder cylinder and I requested an old style wooden box with mains and battery powered integrated winder. They supplied one and I bought the leather winder cylinder as well - for an extra £610.

The AD explained that most buyers want a travel winder and not a wooden box winder. I get that but felt that a Patek were skimping and at this price level it ought to come in better presentation box suitable for my office shelf for use when not travelling = most of the time!

Thanks for all your answers.

Just curious , my 5327 came from an AD who sold the piece last year new to another buyer who traded it in for a more expensive piece after having it for just a couple of months. I then purchased it and was told only came with the cylinder leather winder now. Could that be true ? Strange to me on a $90,000 piece.

When I purchased my 5320G new from an AD last year (September 2019) I received both the hard case winder and the cylinder winder.
