Thoughts on this 16610?

Comes as a full set, hang tags, box, anchor, papers, wallet and calendar.

Just wondering what people thought to the condition of the watch it's self?

Many thanks

I don't like it. The insert is 100% fake, which makes me wonder about the rest of the watch. The 9 on the date indicator also looks off to me..

This watch lacks patina. the crown guards also look off to me.

I would pass. there are many 16610's to be had on the market.

Run in the opposite direction. This watch is a mess. Those poor crown guards.

As mentioned, plenty of nice 16610s out there. I'd hunt for a better example.

Def a rough polish and funky date wheel. Out of curiosity what is the asking price?

Looks bad. Wrong forum as this isn’t really a vintage watch.

Really?

What about 16520 Zenith Daytonas?

Are they 'vintage'?

Yes, run away from this watch. Too expensive to have a questionable screwed date insert.

As you are in the UK, here is but one example of what you could get for similar money, compare the crown guards between them.

Good luck in the hunt and take your time, there a some good examples out there

Hilarious — common watch, high price, silly date wheel. Cmon.

Lol, those crown guards look sad as hell. Also the font on the insert is really bad.

Picture number 3 is a different watch! Picture 3 has nice crown guards a nice sharp bezel and solid end links.

Nice catch.

OP: Tell the seller you'll take the one in the 3rd pic.

That sub is rough. Over polished. Look at how round the crown guards are. The date magnification looks off as well. The pip is huge. Lol what's going on here ? Oh wait a minute, i know exactly what's going on here :)
