Purchase history with AD but not Patek

I have been fortunate enough to have purchased a few Rolex (SS sports and ladies DJ). However, all these purchases have been with an AD that does not carry Patek in their location. If I were to go into another location that does carry Patek, would they consider me for any of their hot watches or would I have to start from scratch with that location? The AD is Tourneau

Try asking your sales associate

I purchased some watches at the Rolex boutique in NYC which is owned by Wempe. my sales associate said he couldn't help with Patek.

In the same boat - I believe it or at least am crossing my fingers that it will carry some weight.

Ask your sales associate...but if the dealer where you have the Rolex relationship also has a separate location that sells Patek, I'd think that should carry some weight. May not be enough to get a SS Nautilus, but regardless I wouldn't think you are starting from scratch.

If your AD is Tourneau and you purchased under your name, they can help you. I'm in very similar situation where I purchased several Rolex watches with Tourneau where they don't sell Patek. I talked to the store manager and she recommended I contact one of their other locations that does sell Pateks. I did that and am on the list for a couple Patek watches. They were able to look up and confirm my purchase history.

Now there is a caveat... your spend history DOES matter... If your total spend is small (say under $30k), chances of getting a hot models are slim to none. Tourneu has VIP clients who spend big $$$ ($250k+), and those get the preferred offerings. Patek rep explained that total spend plays a big factor and they will review it as part of considerations to decide who gets the watch.

You will need to ask the question but the problem you will have is the sister AD who carries the Patek watches will not know you personally and will do you no favours.

I’d ask the person you deal with if they can recommend you. That’s what happened with me.

Best to go through the Associate you know but it is a tough Patek market at the moment with the popular pieces very scarce.

Thank you all for the advice. I will definitely try to reach out to my sales associate first. If that doesn’t work, I’ll go to the Patek location after and see where that gets me. My spend is definitely not as big as the VIP clients. (~75k)

Depends on what Patek you want.

If it’s the Patek on display and available for sale, you wont need purchase history to buy that.

It sucks because the people that are saving up for that "special watch" end up not getting a fair shot at getting one.

yeah that sucks trust me but with the price increase the premium is not that bad anymore at least for some models like the 5164A - 10-12k or so.
