I own and love 126710 BLRO.
However without a doubt I would go for 5164.
Wore it once and this poll is without a doubt for me.

You put my favourite patek up against my favourite Rolex.

They're very different price categories. I'd pick the Aquanaut.

Not even a question, Patek P everyday and twice on Sunday ….
Sorry my friend but it’s not even a contest … it’s a Patek Philipp

How's this even a question or a comparison? I mean BMW M3 is nice but it isn't even a Ferrari Spider. We all know which will get more chicks.

Travel time is in a different league. BLRO is nice but not there yet.

I gotta say I really don't get Patek Aquanaut. to me it looks like a $100 watch you can guy from Walmart. movement is nothing special also. read up on how Aquanuat movement is a close clone copy of a dress watch - calatrava.

people want this watch just because it is "sport" and it is from Patek. If the name on the dial was named "grand seiko" instead, I doubt these folks would even care about this timepiece.

$80k grey price for this watch is absurd. Grab a full Platinum Lange Datograph and see the timepiece, and you will realize this is a watch that looks and feels like a $80k watch. A SS Patek Aquanuat? not so much.

I happen to think SS Aquanaut is grossly over-priced at MSRP. at grey prices, it is laughable.

I've seen this watch multiple times in real life cuz my boss has one and wears it often. I much prefer Rolex SS GMT.

I’m not a big fan of either so I’d choose a 16710 Coke over these two.

Like both, don’t deny that Patek it’s another level ….. but Pepsi it’s more catching eyes…

You could say the exact same thing about 90% of the Rolex lineup, GMTs included.

I have both and I’d probably give the slight edge to the 5164. The GMT is bulletproof and I never need to think about how I treat the watch. I tend to swim when traveling and I’m always worried that I will flood the 5164 movement. The 5164 is generally more under the radar, although not to the extent it has been years ago. However, the skelatonized home time hand makes the 5164 super easy to read. The 5164 also wins out on comfort as well.

This is exactly why I wanted a 5065 15 years ago: NOBODY knew what it was.

So? The movement in a Sub no-date comes straight from a 36mm OP...

Could be said for every Rolex "Professional" model (likely seldom used for their originally intended purposes).

Sounds more like your issues are with your boss, not the watch itself .
