Also, Rolex uses a lapping/polishing machine that does all the work. The watch is set in a jig and then polished/satin finished and chamfer put on the lugs. The two remaining Rolex Service Centers use these machines which are identical as the one at the factory or Baxely.

This is why only Rolex can put on that finish perfectly. That is also why when done by a jeweler it will not look the same.

I imagine Australia is much the same but they will work on vintage watches that the USA will not. =) maverick
