My SBGH273

Thought I would share this with the forum. I've had this for about 2 months and love it. Currently running at +.68 seconds/day

Spectacular watch! I truly am smitten by GS quality.

Tell me, did your GS keep excellent time from day one?

I recently acquired a SBGH269 (Hi-Beat), and the first week on the wrist, it gained 4secs a day?

Set her down for a few days to let the spring run down. She now only runs fast 1.5secs a day.

Is this considered a normal break in cycle for the Hi-Beat movement?

I'm not sure if that is normal high beat behavior but it was running around 5 seconds fast when I first got it. This was mainly due to me resting it dial up at night when it would gain the majority of its time. Now at night I rest it crown up which causes it to lose.5-1 second overnight.

Interesting.....looks like we shared a similar experience. Perhaps other Hi-Beat owners can chime in with their break-in observations.

My sbgh213 started running a few seconds fast on wrist through the day, and was about even crown down overnight, but seemed to speed up slightly after about a week. It has been on a winder for about 6 weeks. I’ll check it next week and follow up.

I have owned not one but TWO SBGH269. Both run relatively fast. Way faster than the specs listed. I’ve tried fiddling with how i leave it when I go to bed but I’ve just accepted that it’ll always be fast at this point. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A bit disappointed tbh. Snowflake has always been on point, but my Tudor GMT keeps far better time than my Momiji.

Fortunately for the SBGH269, it’s a stunner, otherwise it would get flipped (again).

Congratulations on the SBGH273! That is awesome time keeping.

BTW, how do you find it on the wrist and do you have any photos of the dial in the sunlight that you can share? The SBGH273 is currently on my shortlist of the next watch to get, so I'd be keen to hear your feedback of how you have found it for the past 2 months.

Awesome piece! Would love to see some additional shots on the wrist and close ups of the dial. Cheers!

My SBGH273

Fantastic choice! My SBGH271 says hello! Isn’t the “bezelless” case design incredible?

Mine has been running +4 for the past 5 days. I’ve been resting it crown up overnight. I would certainly prefer if it would settle closer to +1 so I’m glad to hear that is what you have seen. If there is no change in a few more weeks I will try leaving it in different positions overnight.

One of my favorite aspects of this watch is how it plays with the sunlight
