Seiko “Save the Ocean” Samurai SRPC93

Finally got around to posting a review of my Samurai. I absolutely love this dial! I think it’s the best dial Seiko has ever done!

How'd you do a BW of your arm and color on the watch for the pic?

Going to guess Photoshop, and nicely done BTW. Original image in color, then copied and de-saturated for the black and white image, (you could apply a sepia or cool blue tone at this point using the filters but…) next would be isolating the watch using the marquis tool on the color image and then copy and paste for just the watch on a transparent background. So now you have three layers; the color background image (the original image is always just background), the black and white image, layer 1, and then the watch on a separate layer, Layer 2, that has been copied from the color background and placed above the black and white image. This creates a seamless single image when flattened or saved in a different format. Voila! At least, that's the way I would do it. there's probably an app that does it in seconds now…

That's one way to do it...I'd just use the black and white filter as an adjustment layer, then create a mask and use the paint brush to color the areas you want in color.

Exactly how I’d do it. Most efficient and lightest file.

Great watch and I love the dial on it. Unfortunately it's uncomfortable as heck on my wrist and just sits around. Shame too as it's such a great watch.
