Absolutely gorgeous piece with immense wrist presence. I will say it's now my current favourite GS.

So I am very Happy to land this exquisite and hard to find Grand Seiko timepiece during my recent trip to Tokyo. 😁 The Hi-Beat GMT Grand Seiko SBGJ235 ( same dial / watch as the 231 ), a Grand Seiko Boutique exclusive.

It features a radiant Iwatu blue pattern dial that draws its inspiration from Japan mountain snowflake pattern, and is quite literally breathtaking in its detailing, visual appeal and color rendition. Here's a close-up

The dial takes on many lively and vivid shades of blue / black depending on lighting. The watch comes with all the usual Grand Seiko refinements that one come to expect, including Zaratsu polishing on the case, impeccable finishing on the dial, hands and applied indices and superb accuracy. In the case of the SBGJ235, the legendary 44GS case really makes the superlative polishing work stands out. A few more pics.

This has become hands down my favourite Grand Seiko in my collection. I'll take this over any Rolex SS watch any time any day.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day.
i agree ben!

I do understand that this watch (SBGJ235) will be available at Grand Seiko boutiques in the United States in March of 2020.

Randy
is that really true? SBGJ235 is coming our the shores of America?
