Where can I find more info about Credor? This model intrigues me. Seems to check a lot of boxes for me.
I like GMT watches in general.
Seiko offers great quality and value
The movement is made in the same location as GS

My concern is the price. I can’t find many for sale but, they seem to be $2,000. That’s a great price for the quality. I always thought Credor line was significantly higher end than that. What am I missing?

Man, I don’t think you can go wrong with them. They are fantastic watches. I have the chronograph Credor pacifique and it’s one of my favorite watches. They just aren’t appreciated outside of Japan much, and I think that’s why you can get them for a relative steal. I got mine fore just north of $1600. And mine comes with the in house 6 S chrono movement which is a stunner.

Judging by the photos, it looks WAY better on the wrist than in photos...

Is this from when Credor was some upper mid-level sub-brand prior to becoming the ultra-high level sub-brand it is now?

So Credor definitely runs the gamut of pricing...just like Grandseiko...but the higher end of Credor is much much higher because they’ve delved into haute horology. Credor still produces quartz and automatics starting in the low 3k mark. These watches we are talking about existed for a short time. In the late 90’s to early 2000’s. I have zero clue what my chronograph cost new, but my guess is it was priced above what I payed for it.

When I think Credor, I think Echi. It looks like there is a window when they put out high quality pieces in limited quantities to mid market like the watch you pictured. That’s a great watch.

It’s 42mm but a very short lug to lug. It sits nicely on my 7 inch wrist
