Needing some advice for my first vintage (potential) purchase - GMT Master

Hi all,

I was hoping to draw on your experience in regards to a potential purchase.

I am looking to make my first vintage Rolex purchase and whilst I have read as much as I can on the subject there is still a bit of an “X factor” that I’m unsure of.

I am look at this GMT and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

It is for sale through a reputable watch dealer who offers buyer inspections so I’m not concerned about the authenticity. I’m more after information regarding condition. It is advertised for $18k AUD and details are below.

Thanks!

Hi

Service dial, insert, date wheel... I would prefer to wait for a better example with all original parts.

Best

Yeah absolutely an option. That was my original preference.

There are a couple for sale i'm seeing at the moment. I don't own them or know the seller but just giving you a heads up.

Check the usual auction / trading sites.
