Warranty Service Recommended?
Hello TRF'ers!
I have a Yacht-Master 116622 with a warranty date of 10/30/2015 so the five year warranty runs out this fall. I have worn the watch nearly constantly since purchase without a hiccup. Unfortunately, last week it stopped running (I noticed when it was approx 2 hours behind and stopped). I manually wound it, actuated the crown in all three positions, and even shook it like a Polaroid picture to mechanically wind it with no effect. I laid it aside for two days when I noticed that it was running again. Since then it's kept perfect time. Should I send it in for a warranty service or wait to see if it stops again? I fear sending them the watch and getting a 'nothing wrong here' response. Thank you sincerely for the benefit of your advice on this. Regards, Scott |

That’s the worst they will find. I think send it for peace of mind.

I would send it in for service before October. If it stopped once it will likely stop again soon enough.

There is no such thing as a "warranty service".
If there is a malfunction that is covered by the warranty, that malfunction will be repaired. If you cannot repeat the problem, neither can Rolex, so there is nothing for them to fix under the warranty.
