1680 on a tropic strap

Hi guys! Just thought I’d post a wrist shot of my 1680 on a tropic in case anyone wants to get an idea of how it might look. I just got this one from Uncle Seiko for another watch, but I love the vintage’60s skindiver look it has on my Sub.

That is a great look - I think I may treat myself and follow your example. Thanks for posting.

thats probably the only rubber strap you could wear on a 1680, the rest would look ridiculous.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I like the look for sure. I have to say though that the 1680 isn’t super comfortable on a two piece strap. Maybe it’s just mine? I’ve tried leather and now rubber and whenever I do the crown tends to dig into my hand when I flex it back. I don’t get this as much on a nato and a bracelet is the most comfortable of all.

Looks good on the tropic, but perhaps try a cordovan. They're very supple, but strong. I've been wearing my 1665 on one and it's very comfortable.

Gorgeous. I’ve been thinking about getting a nice leather strap for a while.

Nice look on the 1680. I like the look on leather but I keep going back to the oyster. Enjoy the journey

Stop doing push-ups with your watch on

Fair point, but swimming/diving with these expensive vintage Rolexes is risky!

I know. Anyway, that strap you're wearing is very nice.

1680 on a Tropic

Synchron has reintroduced the Tropic Strap. They are $79.00. I put one on my 1680 pictured here. They are very nice.

But you can't get it wet and the Tropic can
