So you’re the other to get this? Only 2 in the US. The CEO of Czepak told me the story of how the US got 2 when there was only 1 unspoken nebula available to sell worldwide.

The new sport watch... yawn.

Much like Lange's... we need some innovative design, seems like forever since a truly new design came along. Most "new" watches are retro inspired or derived from another watch.

Totally know what you mean, but feel the VC has a more distinct character. This Czapek, to my eyes, is a bit too tame. The quality looks beautiful though.

Blue for me. Anticipate it will mostly live on the blue rubber strap.

Awesome, love the movement on these watches. Which dial/hand combo did you go with?

Congrats- it looks great and quite a lot of changes from the original. The dial looks incredible. What colour did you go for and what’s the ETA?

Any word on yours @vandyologist?

Edit- answered whilst I was typing- I look forward to the incoming!

Lovely choice. On my Terre Adelie I ordered the grey lamé (‘Secret Alloy’), red tipped second hand, and black rubber strap. I was offered to have the links brushed but opted to keep them polished as I think it’ll give the watch just a little bit more pop. Eager to see how it all turns out.

I really like what they've done with the Passage De Drake. Very torn on the dial selection though. Right now, I'm leaning towards the white dial with red-tipped second hand. Hope I still have a bit of time to pull the trigger.

Anyone know what the lug to lug measurement is for these? I reached out to the company and somehow got a confusing answer.

Bloomin’ ‘eck. Just read on Instagram that the 40 grey dials are already sold out. That was quick...

I suspect most of the regular production will be sold out soon as well. Max capacity as mentioned in the Czapek website is 1 watch per day...

Yeah its kind of a cool process, you put the deposit then select your build day. The map blocks out the days already selected. I was hesitant since Czapek has heritage only in name, but I watched their video series on youtube and it made me appreciate the company quite a bit. They utilize several small companies in the area to produce their components and at 365 watches a year its crazy exclusive. Plus as someone above mentioned they allow customizing of your own watch other companies don't or would only allow on extremely expensive pieces for celebrity clients . Has anyone here received the antarctique yet?

It’s a real breath of fresh air how open they are about their partners, and their history. Every time I’ve reached out to the company (including the CEO) they’ve answered almost immediately with frank and forthright no bs answers. Truly refreshing...

Congratulations.
I ordered mine last July and was informed that it may be ready to ship in January or feb. I’m hoping sooner rather than later.

Thanks

It's been a great experience thus far, I'm looking forward to seeing pics and hearing opinions from everyone who ordered from the first batch. The personal touches and options to customize a bit are so refreshing.

I emailed the boutique/digital manager with some questions the day before the launch, almost all of which were answered on launch day on the website. Just today I got a correspondence regarding the manufacturing date. I'd wanted to use my birthday, but as it was outside the window, I decided on my first son's birthday instead. He wanted some clarification so he could ensure it arrived on my birthday a few weeks after manufacture was complete. I like feeling like a valued customer, rather than an outsider scrumming for an impossible to get "base" luxury watch, it really sweetens the deal.

For now I've decided on the Ice White dial, red tipped hand, and the grey calf with red stitch strap. Very different look from others in my small collection, so I'm excited to see how it all plays out.

I don’t have a Czapek... but I saw a piece a few months ago that definitely caught my eye.
