Tools for Miss GMT

Okay gentlemen

I think little Miss GMT is sporting an extra link - I'm as far in with the adjuster thingy as it'll go. So question is, what's a good brand of watch tools? Or do people just use what's lying around? As a big WIS I'd like to think there are some rubber tip screwdrivers out there.

Lemme know. Cheers all.

Practically any of the small jeweler screwdriver sets like found at the hardware stores will fit the bill.

If you think you will slip, put a piece of cellophane tape over the link and push the screwdriver through. Rolex does use a bit of thread lock on the screws to hold them from loosening.

There are some excellent specialty tools just for watches. Bergeon is a top name in watchmaker tools.

If you want some serious tools such as the Bergeon and others, try ofrei.com, or watchtool.co.uk

No, not at the moment since I am at work, but I found a pic of it on eBay (YES, it IS the real thing):

The tool (placed horizontally upper right) contains:

Screwdriver at the one end and pin remover at the other end.

The pin remover can be taken out, revealing a storage place INSIDE the tool for a spare blackened screw to fit the "L" (for "LONG") extension link that you see lying on top of the "pouch" with the velcro locker on it.

Furthermore you get the "Buehlmann table" for decompression times (now comes as a plastic card like the CCC instead of paper like before) and also the "Translation of the COSC testing spec" booklet.

Last, but not least, the CCC (Credit Card Certificate) would be placed in the tool set wallet when buying the SD (in other words: the SD (now) has no special wallet for the CCC).
