For sure. At less than half the price it's a steal.

What a difficult choice. I vote Daytona for Rolex versatility.

Nope. $26,300. 2x to the 4th significant digit.

Daytona for the win. Leave that odd flying saucer like object alone..

I really like that AP but is it worth a Pepsi and a Daytona. I don't know how much hand finishing on a bracelet you can do for $13,000. No in house movement. Yet. Maybe if they add that and a sapphire back it would put it over the edge.

AP price increased to 26.8K. Takuya has it for 29K which is pretty good price!

I do not like slanted date window at 4 o clock. In this case, I prefer the Daytona.

i own that daytona and was looking at that exact AP model. you can get it from an AD with a downpayment and a 2 month wait, daytona is still way harder via retail. if you have a 25k budget, go with the AP.

The Daytona wins for me, iconic well known watch, brand recognition, quality in house movement, contrast black bezel vs white dial with the red lettering. Just looks quality.

I am a Rolex fan boy but I’m always a bit underwhelmed by AP and PP in comparison to my Rolex’s. I’m ready for that comment to be savaged !!

Both if you can. I have both.

The price difference has been pointed out already. These are two very different watches, the AP is stunning. The Daytona is more rugged, has a much better movement. The AP has more wrist presence, the Daytona esp the black dial flies under the radar which is impossible with the AP. AP movement is antiquated, that’s ok with me but not for others. The Daytona has a big premium, not so for the AP. That AP in the wild will remain a rare sighting, not so the Daytona.

So me at least, it’s not a direct comparison.

Finishing is amazing. Can’t compare.

The movement is not the strong point of this watch tbh, and I say that as an owner.

Good points.

Rolex has over 800k to 1 million watches per year whereas AP has 40k to 45k.

This particular model AP in 38mm might be around less than 500 pieces per year and hence will be a rare sight always!

AP defintely. Especially if you are getting the Daytona at grey prices. Love the white and blue dial on the ROC
