AD called and said to pop in, have a fair bit of non Rolex spend history with them.

Offered me a no date sub..

I said yes please... all part of the road to my daytona

Congrats! Can you expand on how this is part of the road to Daytona? I ask because I am waiting for the Daytona myself and have thought to add the submariner back in the meantime.

My jewellery store has 2 shops, one I have an above average spending history with.
Then there's their sister store... this store recently became an AD, March 2022 I believe.

So I've popped in and started explaining my goals, due to 3 tudors, an Omega and some stuff for the missus over the last 18 months. They added me to their sister store list.

Although they are one business, the two shops behave very separate, so was chuffed when they took me seriously and got my want list documented.

I also played the long game as they offered me a TT sub (black and gold).
It wasn't on my list and was too similar to my root beer. I explained I'd rather it went to a customer who really wanted it.

I kindly declined, they seemed to like my non desperation (my opinion only). Then out of the blue said they have a no date I could have (£7700).

I said yes, I needed something non PLC.

I then again probed into the daytona, explained it being my grail and had quite a positive response.

Mentioned I'd like an engagement ring near Xmas too....

Thank you - makes complete sense! I think I want to add regardless, but I worry if I ask for the 124060 now, that would make my AD not be in as much of a rush to get me my SS Daytona. Regardless, awesome watch, you are going to continue to love it.

I think explaining the sub no date would be your beater/GADA would make sense to most...

Surely your AD would understand you have an itch!
