Hodinkee Insurance News

Interesting news that may interest those with Hodinkee insurance for their timepieces. Their underwriter, Chubb, is in the headlines.

Let's keep the politics away from our watches.

How does this have anything to do with Hodinkee and watches?

At this rate, you might as well just post all the insurance carriers and their natural disaster claim payouts.

I see no correlation to story and Hodinkee insuring my watches.

Chubb is conducting their business like any other corporation! Bad form OP! It has nothing to do with watch insurance.

I heard Walmart once sold groceries to someone I don't like. I better never shop there again.

OP here…

There is no political commentary here or political message, just news and information. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never heard of a corporation putting up almost $100 million in bond for a defendant that has also been penalized almost $500 million for alleged fraud. For anyone. Ever.

The fact is this is this IS newsworthy and if you have your watches insured with Hodinkee, they are financially backed with the company that has taken this fiduciary risk. Do what you want with the info. Let’s not get offended by mere information.

There is absolutely no correlation between this and your watch insurance. Lloyd’s of London insured David Beckman’s legs for $40 million…

Insurance is about risk management and obviously Chubb is much more astute about the specifics of this particular policy than anyone on this forum.

You’re just trying to insert politics where it has no place.
