7836 folded bracelet question

Is this real? I don't see the oval on the coronet on the blade. Second, I'm not sure what the A code stand for next to the Steelinox. The rest looks real. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The "A" code denotes 1976. The oval in the coronet from the scroll work on the clasp is there, but just doesn't show well in the photos. The band appears genuine to me and does not exhibit any of the traits from the counterfeit version of this band.

The band has the 382 endlink. Do you know which watch it came from? Will the endlink fit 1655? Is the asking price reasonable for the condition? Thanks!

Can't help you there as its not in my reference book, but my book is not the bible on end links.

Hello.I've bought 7836 from this guy. It looks similiar to this one. My has also 382 end links. I had doubts:

In my opinion it is ok.

Always remember to buy the seller, not the product. Buckle appears to be authentic. I believe fakes have 6-pin holes, real ones have 7.

All endlinks referenced in my book begin with 500. The endlinks on my 7836 begin with 200. And here we have 300. Seems to be all over the place.

My 1655 came on 7836 w 380 end pieces. I recall reading somewhere that 380s were a brief "upgrade" to the 280s.

There is mention of 380s on the blue chart

I have 380's on my Tudor that has a folded 9315, so it could be a pieced together bracelet.

Very interesting.

Most likely a swapped clasp at one point.
