Would like to get down to 3 Rolex and a Nautilus. Over the last year I have come to the conclusion 4 watches are perfect for me. however I would like to keep the funds in my collection (add if have to)

What would you guys swap out? I have some ideas but would welcome any thoughts. I like the idea of 4 watches with variety.

The DSSD was my fave but finding I am wearing it less nowadays - I must be getting weaker :)

The ND Sub is my "beater"

Explorer for dress up occasions with the Daytona (Daytona on lazy Sundays also)

Hulk - For some reason dont wear as often as I should but maybe due to the other watches

*Forget about the Omega in the collection*

I d keep the ND Sub and the Daytona.

I would keep one rolex, whichever is your favourite, sell the rest, skip the 5711 and go for a 5990.

If you're set on the 5711 I'd keep the nd sub, Daytona and add GMT BLNR.

I would keep the Daytona, hulk and DSSD since your goal is variety. But honestly I prefer the ND sub over the DSSD.

Just my own preference/opinion on the DSSD. If it's not blue, sell.

Good luck on your decision!

I'd keep the hulk, and the Daytona. Grab the PP Nautilus. You'd end up with green, white, and blue watches. Then be on the prowl for a black watch - preferably on a leather strap. That'd probably round you out.

- Sell everything except Daytona and ND sub. Buy a GMT-IIC and a 5711. (The Patek will replace the Explorer forever as your dressier sports watch; the SD, Hulk, and ND sub get a bit redundant and you're only wearing the Sub for the most part).

- Daily driver: The ND Sub since it's your current go-to watch.
- Watch 1 in box: GMT-IIC (imho, best Rolex made today and a useful complication)
- Watch 1 in box: Daytona (lazy Sunday a perfect description, classic and a keeper)
- Watch 3 in box: Nautilus 5711 (beyond classic - also beyond beautiful)

In the box for variety (left to right: GMT / Daytona / 5711):
- Black, white, and blue dials
- Ceramic, polished, and brushed bezels
- GMT, chrono, and date complications
- Largish, medium, and svelte diameters (and heights)
- Sporty, transitional, and sporty/dressy looks

For harmony, you've got:
- All steel
- Brushed & polished bracelets
- Flat sapphire crystals
- All wearable, no "bank vault" pieces

This actually gives you two daily drivers (the ND sub and the GMT-IIC) which you can swap in and out of the box while maintaining the glorious harmony of it!

Be sure to buy a 3-watch case. Can't tell you how many bad decisions I've made based on the number of "gaps" in my watch case.

Good luck, man! These are super fun problems to have.
+1 Some quality advice right here

I would keep the green sub and the daytona. These two are harder to acquire and also more special than your rest of the collection, imo.

Lol

Is that your three? Beautiful trio!

Now I know how cool the 5711 looks next to my Daytona!

Update Finally.....

Last week was crazy!!!! Instead of picking up my first PP, I ended up with two of them all within 4 days.

Friday I picked up this...

And a few days later I finally got the call....

Very happy!!!!

I’d have kept the SubND and the Daytona and added a 5712, but I guess it’s too late ...enjoy!

Took me just under a few years but no regrets consolidating down to my trio!

Maybe next year I might aim to “upgrade” the 5167 to a 5164 but im honestly in no rush as happy with what I have

+1, keep one SS Rolex, either Daytona or ND Sub, the rest can go for me, once you get the Nautilus you will want some Aquanaut or maybe a watch from AP

Great trio. If you decide to upgrade the 5164 will fit nicely in your collection due to the travel time complication. Alternatively have you considered upgrading the 5167 to a 5168G or 5968A due to different dial/strap colours.

Fantastic looking trio. I had planned for mine to look something like this with a 5712, 5164 and 116500 trio, but the 5990 came along and it took the 5164's place, and now I've put the 116500 on Oysterflex to balance things back out.

I'm also super jealous of your Patek 4 watch roll!

Kind of set on a GMT and I love the comfort of the Aquanaut so 5164 kind of fits the bill so to speak!! I prob wear the Aquanaut the most but early days with the 116500

Only problem with the Patek roll is that I hae a spare slot - doh!

Absolutely fantastic trio! Glad you are realizing your dream. How would it look if arranged left to right: Daytona, 5711, Aquanaut? Sorry, the OCD always wins.
