116610LV bezel

Never really gave the LV a second though but after thinking my collection could do with a little more dial variety I started looking at the LV

The one thing I've never noticed is Rolex picture display it with a metallic bezel matching the dial were as in real life the bezel has a more pastel look to it.

Absolutely would agree Sam!! Looks different in real life and on the wrist. I would probably enjoy the 500C for awhile before venturing into another piece. Your collection is absolutely wonderful as it is!!!

Steve thank you for the nice comment

Def not rushing into another purchase, just found myself checking out other dial options which I've previously dismissed.

Ideally unless Basel 2017 throws a spanner in the works I'm sitting tight building up the DD40 fund.

Def could be an option as it is quite a bit different than the herd. The DD40 will absolutely be an epic incoming especially with that green dial

I had the LVc a bunch of times and as much as I like it, I found loving it was tough. Probably for the exact reason you pointed out my friend, the bezel.

I find myself sniffing in the YM direction lately for the same reasons you are looking into the LVc. Not sure if it would float your boat enough to do a side by side but may be worth considering my friend

Yeah that would be my all timing incoming

Do you mean the Rhodium or Blue YM? Not a fan of the blue but the new Rhodium is very nice, tried it on a Basel event my AD held and then a few weeks ago.

In all honestly it possibly top of the list next to the YMII if I was to purchase another SS watch

Sweet Sam! That was the exact combination I was thinking of. Personally think it would pair well with the 500C.

YMII in SS, I tried twice. I like the watch but just didn't feel that the complication was worth loosing a date window for. Also had it in TT and full YG (filled the wrist presence requirement).

Trying my luck currently with another DSSD blue for a change this week. It is a big chunk but my 7 3/4 wrist holds the size okay. The YM II does have a more favourable ride height though.

So many choices out there to add some colour my friend!! Hope you have a wonderful journey towards the acquisition.

It's on my short list...but you are right. Big difference between the photo and real life.

You're right about the bezel being a more pastel color but I think it's still a good look.

I would pick the LV over the LN, funny that I like the LV now as I always thought it was too green really.

The shades of the dial and bezel change immensely depending on lighting. Indoors in subtle light they match perfectly.
Outdoors in sunlight, a completely different watch.
I love it. Amazing piece.

I never intended to buy the LV but after the AD showed me one, it came home with me.

It's a great green Sam, and as you know, it seems to change in every photo.
The face sometimes looks a nice vivid green, and other times, black.

I've enjoyed it for 2 years now and have never regretted adding it to my small collection.

Here's a pic I took where the face looked a little more black.

Steve,

Get where you are coming from, I'm not sure how long the Explorer will stay as I still find I grab the SDc for my daily!

Guess I can see it being the SDc and Daytona as my sporty black/white and then the DD40 if funds allow failing that I the YM rhodium as far away from the DD40 that it is it would fill the gap in my collection just as well.

Love the pics guys, I'll be honest the LV is not the watch for me but can see where the love comes from.

I was just interested in the clear discrepancy between the Rolex site and real life.

For me the only green dial Rolex would have to be the DD40 (blame it on Ken)

I loved my LV, especially the way the colors changed in different light, but alas I never wore it once I bought my Daytona so I let it go to a better home.

DD40 green dial is definitely a grail of mine. Are you leaning towards the WG or RG version?

WG like the understated look and for me RG needs a chocolate dial.

They do that metallic blue thing on Omega blues, always looks flatter in real life.

My thought on hulk too and the reason we only flirted. Amazing dial, bezel - not so much, especially in bright sun where it looks it's most - pastelish

I'll have a look, I assumed it was down to the ceramic that they couldn't give it a metallic look!
