I bet most who want a Hulk know it is a hot watch at the moment and just want it to flip it and make a 1-2K profit. There are multiple examples of this in the for sale section presently.

Think it's due to all supply being picked up by the grey market. It has become a lucrative industry. Quick flip, houses, watches etc...
Simply another layer of products changing hands before getting to the final buyer. God bless capitalism!

One year ago, I had my pick of three ADs that each had a BLNR.

Now, I would be scared to try and find one!

No it’s not...Not even close. Again allocations are tight and discounts have evaporated on SS sports watches. Grey’s are paying retail like everyone else with much less supply due to lower allocations. They have to make money so of course they will be sold at premium.

The demand for SS is crazy high. Therefore sellers are charging a premium for these models that are hard to get thru an AD.

How selective are they? I bought mine in may 2017. I called two ads with whom I had no prior relationship. One wanted me to come down right if I wanted to purchase. The other held it for me until I got there. I balked at it. And went back two weeks later and got another one. I think the product is available if you’re willing to do a little searching to find it...

In May 2017 the resale market was below retail, that is when I got mine. Then Rolex stop shipping models and the price went up

What is curious is how the price approached 11k for the BLNR, at that point imo, buyers started seeing the all black LN as a better deal (which you could pick up for 6k). This in turn raised the price of the LN and has slightly lowered the price of the BLNR

Final analysis, SS GMT models trade at retail or close to it, IMO very strong demand regardless of supply

Compared to the ceramic Daytona.

If supply constraints remain as they are or become even more tight, then yes. I would expect prices to rise a bit. & lets not forget a possible MSRP increase.

In Europe, especially the UK I've now seen unworn with stickers being sold for £9K+ (that's almost $13K USD). BLNR is a £6,550 MSRP watch.

Back when I got my BLNR in late 2016, they had one in the window and one in the case as well as 2 LV’s.

at the moment its around S$14K in grey and MSRP is S$12K here in Singapore. Thinking to get them before they increase price then

I have seen a few 116610V and 116710BLNR from trusted sellers that seem to be sitting longer than they had weeks ago. These would be gone in a day! I Don't know, maybe there is a slowdown in the crazy pricing.

Because the market has went haywire with all the rumors and speculation. Current prices have gotten people into the watch market who have never been in it before. I'm seeing tons of pawn shops advertising Rolexes at high prices, along with relatively new members here posting the "hard to get" watches for sale. Can't blame them. It's easy money if you're lucky enough to get your hands on one of those watches. Unfortunately, there are now more people in the market and some just want to flip for a profit. It hurts the people who want these watches to wear, not flip. Personally, I think this is a bubble that will pop. I may be wrong. Time will tell.

Imho it is a bit of a hyped watch, can't be real popular since it is being discontinued

This. That's exactly what I did.

With the SS Pepsi coming on line I doubt the Batman will hold much value or demand in the coming months. The demand will quickly wane and subside like a Kardashin re-run. Time marches on. The SS Pepsi demand will be the new "in" Rolex, no?

Pepsi would likely drag down Batman I'd suspect. No real substitute for a Hulk yet.

Completely disagree and that’s just not typical for Rolex SS sports watches. The BLNR will stay popular and prices steady. Do I think people should pay premiums for one? No and nor would I. Lastly of course the Pepsi will be red hot that goes without saying. I think the GMT lineup today is the best it’s been in years and I look forward to adding my next one soon enough!

There are 28 BLNRs for sale on watchrecon at the moment. There are also 28 SubC Dates for sale on the same site.

A lot of the BLNRs that are for sale are used, which tells me a lot of people flip it for whatever reason whereas it seems like people hang onto their subs.

Imho

I guess it's because they have to divide the profit with the one that provides them. Well ... I'm sure but that's what I think. The others can think as they please.
