I transition from 36 to 40 to 44. I try not jump from the Datejust to the Breitling as I feel the difference. But I do not feel much difference between the Datejust and my Sub. My wrist is just under 7 inches. I love my 36 so much I'm already thinking of adding a SS 36 Datejust, OP, or exp 1.

Looking for opinions. Any 36mm with 7in wearers?

It all sums up to habits. I used to wear 40-42mm for over 20 years, then I discovered vintage and it all changed my perspective of size. I also have a 7.5" wrist and I now own small sized watches (well 36mm used to be considered jumbo sized when wristwatches were introduced in the beginning of the last century where men's watches were 33mm and smaller). The Patek 3940 which I purchased made me realize watches need not be oversized. I recently purchased a DJ 36mm and here is a picture for you to decide upon. Your wrist is half an inch smaller than mine so it should be perfect.

My wrist is about 7.5" and I agree. 36 is a bit too small, 41 is a bit too big, and 40 is juuuuust right. Now I only wish they would make a DJ40!

I have an 8.5 inch wrist and wear 34mm watches. I alternate between 5500s and my 1500. I also wear, from time to time, a 32mm 1956 Bulova 23 Jewel. I really love the smaller case sizes. Why wear a larger heavier watch when the actual dial size is nearly the same?

8'1 wrist: DJ looked really to small for me. I barely could put it on my wrist as bracelet was too tight. AD told me that 2 additional links would be required. When I pur DJII everything was perfect.... even without additional links.

Love the TOGs. Both white and black dials are crisp and clean.

Thank you!

Got to admit that when I bought mine (drunk impulse buy after a hot night at the blackjack tables in Caesar's Palace Forum Shops in 2006) I lost my love for it within a few weeks. But in the past few months I've grown to really like it, it's a good tweener of sport/dress, my only white dial which works for certain occasions as well.

My 36mm on a 7.25 -7.5 in wrist. 36mm is absolutely fine. Fluted bezel makes it wear bigger. These watches are so comfortable and there are so many great variations to choose from. I was hesitant at first because "marketing" had told me men wear 40mm plus. So glad I took the plunge on a DJ. "Free your mind....free your wrist"

I have two 36mm DJ. My wrist is around 7.25in. While there certainly is a different feel on your wrist when you switch from a 40mm back to the DJ, the DJ still does not look odd, too small, etc. as someone else mentioned, the fluted bezel models appear (to me) to wear slightly larger than the smooth bezel variants.

7.25" with my 36mm OP. It is a jarring transition wearing this watch after my DJII -- or anything. It's my smallest watch. On the plus side it's super comfortable for everyday wear.

If it looks OK to you, it is OK. If it looks too small to you, it is too small.

I too wear from 34 to 44mm watches. One thing I can say is that the 36s feel far more comfortable than the 44. 40mm seems to be the sweet spot for my 6.5in wrist unless it's too bulky (as was the case with the Sub c). Pretty much most wrists can wear most sizes.

I have 7 inch wrists too. I loved my blue TOG and I thought it was a "big" 36 but honestly I would always think too myself "is it too small?" Once that doubt crept in, I eventually had to trade it for the blue YM which I really think is sized well. I just think 40mm is the perfect size and now all of my watches are 40mm. It's not so much the lug to lug width as the dial itself just really seemed small in my opinion. I would just say try them on like crazy and make sure you like the size.

Went from 7" to 6 3/4" due to weight loss. Prefer 36-38mm watches by a large margin.

It's all personal preference. I have an 8" wrist, and I rotate between a BLNR and a SubC. 36 mm looks way too small on me, imho.

6.75 wrist and I prefer the look and feel of 36-38mm watches over the larger sizes.

7.50" wrist here, and I'm totally happy with the look, feel, and fit of this 36mm TOG. And, it's dog-approved, too, lol.

Hope this is helpful.

I don't have any photos currently, but do have two 36mm DJ models-one TT and one SS, both with fluted bezels. My wrist is 7-7.25.

I've begun wearing one of the two DJ only on weekends, as my SD gets the wrist time M-F. I will say it's not too small for a wrist sized similar to mine, but in my opinion, the fluted bezels are a must, as they do add some illusion of size and texture to a watch that is visually a bit smaller than what I look at most days of the week.

Side note-Wearing a 36mm DJ several days in a row and then walking into an AD taking it off and trying on a 40mm Sub/SD/GMT makes those sports models seem "too big" or "too square", which is in reality not at all accurate on a wrist my size. It's all about perspective. I will say that I feel the 40mm offerings are my preference in size, but the DJ I have hold sentimental value so they won't be going anywhere.
