How do you take your shirts to the cleaners? I have a special bag I use. Maybe it's in the bag or sac you use?

Oh my sorry to hear that, I just got my dayC several weeks ago, can’t imagine if I lost it *knock on wood

On the other note, I purchased this leather tray that I put on top of my dresser/side board. Always put my wedding ring and watch there so it’s always on sight and it’s already become a habit to leave them there.

Good luck and I hope you find it.

I would be turning my house and car upside down looking for it.
Did you or the store check the bag/basket that you delivered the clothes in?
Maybe it is sitting at the bottom of that having fallen out of the pocket.

Very sorry to hear this. Hoping it was simply misplaced and that you'll find it tomorrow with fresh eyes.

I believe it did not go to the dry cleaners . They usually take out each piece and count them and if the Daytona was in there you and the person would of known .
It’s in a cubby spot that you just happened to put it in because you got sidetracked . It will turn up

I certainly hope you find it. But here's something I was told several years back - don't cry for things that cannot cry for you.

Good luck.

I know it's not much help, but I thought I'd lost a cherished dog leash for my golden retriever last October on a small road trip. I figured I left it on top of my car at a rest stop, and drove off without it, lol. Surprisingly, it unexpectedly turned up just last week, some 4 months later, in a duffel bag I use for carrying my Kindle, headphones, and other misc electronics when traveling. So you never know. It's possible you set the watch down in an unusual place in your home. I have a Daytona C, too, so I feel your pain. Hopefully it will turn up soon! -Rick.

Yep. Go back and check to see what the real serial number is...that's not it.

That's a habit you might want to re-think. For the very reason that this thread started.

I generally know where my watches are if I'm not wearing them but...I have one particular pair of fairly expensive sunglasses that I've misplaced several times. I do my best to scour my memory back to the last time I had them on and go from there. I have always found them so far, sometimes in some pretty weird places. Hope you find it.

Thanks for comments all, still have not located the watch. The whole thing seems insane: I can't find it in my house, it can't have been stolen, dry cleaners don't have it... I am at a loss. I have it registered with the Watch Register, will update as warranted, appreciate the kind words and advice.

I once searched 2 hours for my keys in a tiny apartment. The door needed the key to be opened from outside I knew I had to find it before i could leave, otherwise i had to call a locksmith. I also knew I had the key when I entered the apartment.

Turns out, the lining in one of the pockets of my coat had a hole and the key fell through the hole in-between the two fabrics of the coat. I don't want to lead you to think something similar happened to your watch but sometimes, things fall into the weirdest places.

The only way I managed to tell was that when I ran my hands around the bottom seam of the coat, I felt that something was inside the fabric. Hope your watch turns up soon. Don't give up!

I feel for you, and don't know how you can focus on anything else. I once lost my car keys for 2 weeks and they turned up in a pile of towels. It did my head in and I turned the place upside down, checking the same places many times. I'm sure it's in your 4 walls, just got to stumble across it.
