I apologize for being totally oblivious to what had happened, as I was not active in this forum from 2010 till 2012. I am such a fool.

I have neither met nor communicated with JJ prior. But these few days i had been reading a lot of his post. With great sadness.

He is such an inspirational character.
He has inspired me to be a better man.

May god bless his soul.

Cheers to you, JJ Irani.

I've not been here in several years, I've just seen this sad news.

JJ was one of the most friendly and welcoming characters on here, I remember his fondness for the Platinum Club.

Truly sorry to hear he has passed.

RIP to a true gentleman.

He is

still a friend, and always will be. We keep their spirits alive through our fond memories of them. I will continue to post on this thread as long as it is up to keep that memory alive. It's really nice to see how some who have joined after his passing, have come to know JJ through the few posts he wrote. He would have gotten a kick out of that comment as responded with "you funny, sheep lovin bastid." And that's how good-natured he was: he could always be the first to laugh at himself. Cheers, buddy:

I didn't

know that today, October 2, was his birthday. There is another thread for birthday wishes today.

Wow...what an impact he made. JJ was always the first to welcome you and shoot you a PM once in awhile. What a great man who loved his beautiful family, his bluesy and life in general. See you on the other side someday JJ.

Was he one of the original members when this forum opened?
I read a little bit on him also and am just curious as to why members liked him so much?
Is he one of the originators of this forum?

I remember one of my first posts/questions on this forum. It was related to how to properly wind my first Rolex. JJ walked me thru it and responded to my questions. A true gentleman as others have said and this forum sorely misses him. RIP JJ.

I too have been gone from the forum for a few years. When I came back JJ was the first guy I looked to speak with and too see his posts. I ask about him and was then informed about his passing. For me he was as much a piece of the forum as the forum itself. He helped me to purchase my first Rolex. It was his passion that convinced me it was OK to spend that kind of money on a watch. I will think of him often when I am looking at my watches. He is missed here. I hope his family is able to see this and to receive my condolences.

I am a new member of the TRF and while I had always been a faceless guest, the posts by JJ are some of my favorites. He will be dearly missed even over half a decade later. I'll see you in the next world JJ and we can talk about watches together.

Was thinking of JJ this morning and wanted to stop by to say that even though he left us more than six years ago he is not forgotten.

Here's my tribute to one of my first and best friends on TRF, JJ. Today only I shockingly realised after visiting the forum after so long, never expected in my thoughts that you wouldn't be here. You were a true gem of a person JJ. I'm sure you must be in a Rolex heaven wearing your BLUESY. I'm missing you mate and remembering the great times when we had our conversations. RIP JJ and we all will always miss you.

JJ was an inspiration. He set a paradigm on how we should behave through interaction online. He was also a caring person (i still have messages we have exchanged in my inbox reminding me his kind nature); to me he was also an online buddy. I miss him for he added colour and ife to this place.
