Photobucket

Photobucket stopped working for me about a year ago and then all of a sudden I tried it yesterday and it worked again. Then within 24 hours it redirected me to upgrade. It seems the only option to post pictures with them on this or any other forum is $399 a year subscription. Obviously others here are using something to post photos. What do you guys use? There is absolutely zero chance of me paying $400 a year to use photobucket. Thanks.

Thanks! It worked. I sure do wish I could just use the Safari browser like normal but at least I know how to do it in the future. I appreciate it.

I use Flickr since Photobucket and Imgur are blocked at work and I cannot see any images

If it was something low-key like $4.99 a month I would do it. But $400 a year! They can pound sand. I think perhaps it’s time for them to initiate a drug screening program over there.

I guess they had advertising? Or?

Anyway, it wasn't free before either. I previously paid the like of 50 bucks/year or so, as my pics hosted by PB where hidden because I was "popular".

Surely no-one can run a "for free" business model, but picture hosting at 400 bucks a year, surely is just south of Daft isn't it?

I am done with them. That reminds me, I am on some cheap "upgrade" plan with them and I assume they are still taking my money even though the old plan will not work anymore. Need to go cancel that now.

Just using tapatalk until I figure out what I want to do with hosting.

Edit: just went there to review my account. This must be the worst website in history. The amount of pop up ads is unbelievable. They are relentless...

I use Dropbox. Pretty easy to post pictures (requires a small tweak) and a great way to share large files

I'm curious how do you use dropbox to post pics?

Once you have the picture in Dropbox, there is a link to share it. Basically, you have to copy the link into clipboard. On the forum, hit the "add an image" button and paste the link into it. This is different than attaching an image.
You'll see the URL you pasted. For people to be able to see your picture on the page (embedded), a tiny mod is necessary
- change the last four digits (dl=0) to "raw=1" without the quotation marks. I just hit backspace 4 times and then type raw=1.
It will post the actual size of the image so be careful. I've had reduce the resolution of some images I've posted.
Give this a try.
