5711/1r vs 5712/1a vs 5726/1a
Dear watch enthusiast. We all know by now Nautilus are impossible to get at retail price due to rarity and high demand. To top it off, now it's almost impossible to be listed under the waiting list unless you have bought a none popular Patek model from the store you want to purchase from . That being said Prices have skyrocketed on 5711 and 5712 by 20% to control the demand and grey market (which skyrocketed as well lol). Long story short, wanted to run a poll and get your opinion for my first patek purchase (managed to be listed on all 3 models through a friend of mine)
5711r with rose bracelet (51k) - prestige and 5711 after all 5712 in steel and steel bracelet (40k) - rarity but overpriced and 4k short of 5726 5726 in steel (44K) - annual calendar and moonphase for reasonable price, and no real demand I know alot of people will say get what you like the most, but I also for that price consider collectibility and value. To make it short, I love the 5712, but for its price would jump on 5726 due to its complications for price. But at that price range, heck 5711 rose is not too far off. Btw, how can I create put a poll? Thanks in advance my fella watch enthusiasts |

For years I was in the 5711 camp, but have now been converted to the 5712 side of the world! The dial and 240 microrotor movement in the 5712 are really interesting!
"almost impossible to be listed under the waiting list unless you have bought a none popular Patek model from the store you want to purchase from".... wow have things gotten that bad?

Thought about it to be honest, but Nautilus to Patek, is like the Daytona for rolex, and like the royal oak for the audemars. It's their flagship, and to be honest, I am not glory hunting, I do love the nautilus, and the aquanaut doesn't cut it for me if I really wanted to save. Never the less, that is by far best neptune model |

5712...save the full gold 5711 for later. Your first nautilus really should be in steel

you are not getting ripped off. You can still sell it later and not lose money, the 5726 you are going to need a discount. The price rise was to put it more in line with market prices. Not that i advocate choosing a watch purely based on resale but at retail the 5712 is a better buy. The 26 might be a better value, but thats not the same thing.

I agree with you, but I feel that Nautilus is the flagship of Patek, just like the Daytona to Rolex and royal oak to AP. Nevertheless, your Neptune is my favorite of its line And to be honest, I am not glory hunting, I do love the nautilus the most, and the aquanaut which is way cheaper is not cutting for me.. |

5726 is 1.5yr wait? That seems pretty long. I do like the 5726 esp. white dial. Good luck with the hunt.

it seems long in that ratio. 1.5 vs. 3. Usually the spread is farther apart regardless of the number of years we are talking about. I love the white dial 26 too.

5726 they get about 6 a year, being 12 on list makes it about 1.5 yrs wait Interesting enough, I am number 4 on 5711 rose and they only get 2 a year, so it is the easiest to get on the list.. |

Value retention aside, I like the 5711 or 5712....I still haven't warmed up to the idea of complication in a stainless sport Nautilus case...I prefer the dressier options for that.

sorry, not following you?! Why don't you finish your statement? Money aside, I love the 5712 the most, and I would have loved a 5712 all gold or two tone like 5980, but even if I want the 5712, its a 3 yrs min wait.. |

5711/1r vs 5712/1a vs 5726/1a
Nautilus for me is 5712 ss & 5711 ss ,
5726 for me is a good watch , but for annual calendar there are much better choices in Patek complications pm line So I vote 5712 The 5726 could be an addition to collection Mine for easy reference Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What about a 5712r only $3,700 you get a gold watch.
Cheaper than a 5726 ss i would say a happy middle of a 5712a and 5711r |

If you can't buy the 5712 at retail I would go for the 5711R.
As for TT, they are just not popular and the spotty bracelet is not well designed unlike the fluid Rolex. In all my time here I can barely remember three TT incomings. |
