New Grand Seiko Quartz Diver: Your Thoughts?

Cat's finally out of the bag on this and I gotta say I kind like it and especially in white! That black on white is bad and pops IMHO!

ref: SBGX115 (white) and SBGX117 (black)

It'll likely be GS's robust 9F61 ND movement which makes sense in a diver. Not a huge fan of the bezel font but would likely warm-up to it anyway as it has gives it a fun monster like feel and does seem to balance the watch better than its SBGA029 brother.

With MSRP at ~$3700 I think it definitely has some appeal after discount and will serve to fill a niche Seiko is missing at this price point. I currently do not own a diver or a quartz and the idea of owning one GS's 9F movements is as interesting as an in-house automatic for those that are unedumicated: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/introdu...-quartz-9f-the

Here are the specs: http://blog.livedoor.jp/bestshinjuku.../50859892.html

So what do you think?
