Ellipse for me, I’ve always loved them but the market doesn’t

Basically most non-sporty ones...

Market may turn in the next 10 years, who knows.

Basically most leather strap watches among the younger generation...

Hypotheses:
1) Calibers are now more resistant to shocks and to "high" Gs (playing sports or with kids).
2) People want to wear their watches outside golf clubs and climate controled offices.

I would love to see more classic PP watches with composite straps or metal bracelets: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ga...atch-bracelets

However, I am a little frustrated of Rolex, RM, VC (Overseas) having better and more contemporary solutions.

Are leather straps to the coming customer generations what pocket watches were to the previous ones? Appreciated but not fitting the needs of the current daily life.

It may be aknowledge by PP when you read the teaser of the 5905/1A:

This bold and casual design renews the way a Patek Philippe complication watch is worn on a daily basis.

I actually love my 5205g more than my 5726 but clearly “the market” does not agree with me.

I completely adore the 5960, and am saddened to see it being discontinued. Considering what usually happens to the price of a watch when discontinued, I can only wonder if their value will shoot up. Although, the last few days has done nothing to the price. Still, we’ll see.

the rubber coated straps that were introduced this year for Code 1159 by AP look very interesting. This potentially can make a lot of dress watches more versatile and wearable. I sweat like a pig, and I avoid leather straps like the plague.

5930G for me.

Just an observation: You know what, folks… this is why we all love PP and have our favorites. So much diversity in what we consider undervalued. Unlike other brands, true PP collectors aren’t too concentrated on just the two sport model lines, and hence the longevity of the brand than the short to med term hype :)

Beautiful! 5905P black dial is a close second for me! :) This one is already discontinued (to make way for the new 5905A), but that means it’s even rarer now. Great pick!

Calatrava Travel Time 5134. Never understood that they are unloved, not very expensive and that they are almost never mentioned on this forum. Love its classic looks, and certainly in the latest versions with more modern indices and fitted with a more casual strap an awesome option in my opinion.

I am looking into acquiring the 7140r for my wife and from the grey market price, it’s definitely very unpopular. But we are going ahead anyway.

Yes we love it. But we are speaking of market.
For somehow market hates it. I love my 5320G.

In regard to grey market, yes 5320G is trading in mid-$60k compare to retail of $92k. But for me only way is buying from my AD :)

And I'm a fan of yellow gold - much more so than Rose which I think is a bit too feminine - I know it's the least popular metal.

Well now there's two people that love it! I was one small sip of wine away from handing over my card for it. One more sip (I was having lunch with my AD) and I would be wearing it now.
I still may relent!!

Had one and love the look, but wrist imbalance due to the high-ish head weight was a letdown :(
