Has anyone here paid boutique in full before getting their watch?

I did so with my 15400 that I recently got from an AP boutique out of town, but it only took 3 weeks or so to arrive. My SA called me last week and said he can get me a 15500 but I had to pay in full and delivery wouldn’t be until summer and I’d have to be patient with timing. Since I really wanted to get the 15500, I agreed and paid in full. I haven’t heard of many boutiques take any more than 25% so I wanted to see if I’m the only one that’s done this. It’s not particularly fun tying up $20K, but if indeed receive my watch in summer (hopefully sooner rather than later) I’ll be pleased.

Yep, I got my 15450 last year and when I ordered it (this was over the phone, with Beverly Hills boutique) I put down like $6k I think and they said that was fine for now, but that they would need the full amount before delivery (I think it was like a month before). So I just did 3 payments of ~$6k each to make up the full amount and then went to pick it up at the date that I had originally requested!

Beverly Hills Boutique gave the option to pay 25% or full amount on SS ROC.

Thank you MNL, how long did you have to wait once the third installment was made?

I think I put down 50% then paid the remainder when the watch arrived.

Any legitimate boutique is completely reputable...if you really want the watch this is definitely how you're going to have to do it. Could be worse, RM requires a FULL deposit and you don't even know when you'll actually get it.

This is what I did. I don’t know when it’ll come and nothing was guaranteed to me. Glad everyone says it’s all good!

Just verified, I ordered in early May and I asked to pick it up mid July, I’m pretty sure I could’ve got it sooner but I wanted that date because I was traveling to get it. They asked me to make full payment before June, so I made the 3 payments that I said. One when I ordered, one a few weeks after, and the final at the end of May.
