Help me choose my next watch, non Basel post.

Hi all, so I have settled so far for my 4 favorite watches.. all stainless steel!
I would like something on leather next, I have always wanted a cream/ivory/white dial and brown leather strap. My favorites are the Lange and Patek manual chrono's, but don't have the budget for those at the moment (unless really special!). Needs to be laid back/ rugged, not a shiny black dress watch. I am hoping that you will come up with some really interesting options, and photos if possible! I was hoping to love the 5212 but I cant say I do yet.
Thanks

That’s a beautiful watch. Tried one on last week and it looks even better in real life.

The 5905p offers a tremendous value on the secondary market. Modern size and look with a great set of complications. Thats where I’d be looking.

saw this in the wild a couple of weeks back. Probably the most attractive watch i have ever seen: perfectly balanced, exquisite complication, understated yet powerful to the eyes of the one in the know. Love it.

This one fits your criteria of cream dial (same cream as the 5320G) and brown leather strap. It’s not one of the more popular ones right now, and some may even call it the dog of the Patek lineup, but it’s one of my all time favorites. After all, Patek “invented” the annual calendar and this one has Patek DNA all over.

Best thing: a pre-owned one can be had for a reasonable price. However, if it were me, I’d want my name in the Certificate of Origin for any Patek.

Thanks for all of the help along the way. I finally took the plunge. I just kept going back to Lange and after seeing the 1815 in person I knew it was perfect. Understated, no one at work would know what it was or raise an eyebrow etc. Ok so it’s not a cream dial but I love the way that the German silver in the gold case can change colour in different lights.
I never expected to go for gold, but there is just something about this watch, and summer that I love.
The new 38.5mm just felt a tiny bit small so I found a really good one owner 40mm and it is perfect. Just on holiday at the mo so limited photos but the box and papers etc all very nice also.

Thanks. I love it.
Sub LV
14060M
Nautilus 5712 and
5 digit GMT Pepsi.
It was a tough call coming on holiday decided on my old 5 digit sub, in my opinion one of the best day To day watches, and the Lange for an evening. Enjoying them both.

Honestly I couldn’t recommend it enough. They are maybe too simple or classic for some tastes, but I love them, and you don’t see many at all. Very understated and great quality.

Thanks for that. I’m a very happy man.
I would love a manual wind chrono from Patek or Lange one day, but I think that is one to aspire to for a few years yet! Time to chill out and enjoy them for a while now!

Just met some gentleman at the airport Monday who was sporting one. We started a conversation at the bar. He loves his but stated service is quite frequent, due to the nature of the watch. Nevertheless he adores it.

He also added he bought one for himself and one for his dad. Pure class

What a stunner! I have a 14060 and this would make a great combo for dinners while on vacation. Great inspiration!

perfect holiday combo, and great value on the pre owned market. I was lucky and found one from a really good source for £6k under retail. I really do like the brand.
All the best
