AP Royal Oak Moon Phase
Hi All,
I've been thinking of trading one of my watches in against the AP Royal Oak Moon Phase. 36 mm bi metal version. Has anyone had this watch? Thoughts on ownership? Are they easy to change the straps on? I'd be considering trading my YG 36 mm DD against this. I've not seen many AP's in the flesh. The ones I have seen have been huge diamond encrusted versions. Photo wise they do look lovely. |

Two tone = no go (for me). I’d strongly recommend you try at least a similarly sized AP RO before spending money or trading your watch in - these watches wear differently from round shaped ones so it may or may not fit your wrist or taste.
As for straps - AP uses proprietary end links so while changing straps are easy, getting an alligator strap from AP or even after market is pretty expensive (OEM go for $600 ish...) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In this case, I think you stand to lose (DD) more than you would gain (RO)

Thanks. Going to try and make a trip into London soon to try one on if possible. I do like the look of them. My other thought is maybe adding an oyster quartz to the rotation. Dilemmas.
