Just Landed - 5164A
Received a call from my AD that my PP 5164 has arrived today. He did it in record time which is 1.5 month ago back in end Jan when I expressed an interest in it. He felt apologetic that my 5711 is taking forever to arrive (soon, so he says). Needed to tide over my craving in the meantime. Yes, I have a good solid history and relationship with my AD. They really came through for me by even having the PP 5650 blue strap installed on it.
Initial impression, it is a very light watch, size is just nice and feels comfortable on the wrist. The GMT function is very easy to use. I can see myself wearing this often. @ member V25V, thanks for the heads-up on the blue strap advice. Here is my new watch. Pardon my photo skills though, it is hard to capture the accurate colour of the 5650 strap. It is more of a midnight blue. Thanks everyone. Its a nice watch and my wife likes it as well. I am more of a Nautilus person, and this is my first aquanaut. Somehow it wears different, cannot put a finger to it. Despite the lack of weight, the watch still has some wrist presence. And the blue strap does make it pop a bit.
To those who are thinking of getting one, I would say, go for it. Maybe I should start looking at the 5968 in case my wife decides to get comfy with this...haha Cheers. |
