No downside to having a Superdome on a vintage Sub. Makes for an awesome look.

I wondered about that, but how can you tell?

To me it looks similar to the T19 on the 5513 in the post by eton97.

What everybody has to remember is the slope of the insert makes a big difference to the visual height of the plexi.
If you compare the slope of the inserts on my 5513 and 1665, you’ll see the 5513 has a flat insert whereas the 1665 insert is more sloped (therefore hiding the height of flat edge of the t39).

The edge on the t39 is much higher as the seadweller has a much thicker bezel than a sub. Easy to spot.

Yes, I have a DRSD, so I am familiar with the difference. What I don't see is the difference between the crystal on your 5513 and my 5512. Both seem to me to be of equal height above the bezel.

I didn’t question your 5512 and t19. Somebody else did. In my opinion it’s a t19. A t39 stands crazy high in a sub. Yours looks like a t19 to me.

I think yours is definitely a t19 on the 5512.
Mine is definitely a t19 and here’s a better picture.

Is the insert was more slanted you would see the side wall so much (like the insert on the drsd)

This is a sub with a t39. Totally different to what I see on yours

Let’s also remember we are taking maybe 1-2mm difference between a t19 and t39.
But there is still a difference visually

The Inserts are the same between a 5513 and 1665,It’s the Bezel ring itself that’s thicker on the SD.

Yes, sorry. I know and I should have made it clear that I was questioning the other post.

I appreciate your t19/t39 clarification. That crystal was sold to me as a t19, but I wasn't sure because it does stand rather high.

I’m fully aware of that. What I am saying is that some inserts sit flat in the bezel ring, making the plexi side wall look higher (like on my 5513). And some inserts slant upwards (like on my drsd) which make the plexi side wall look shallower.

Inserts for the four digits 1680 + 5512 + 5513 + 1665 are absolutely the same.

No matter how high they stick up the t39 is always more domed from the sideview and the t39 slightly acts a magnifying glass and makes the lume plots larger from the top view...

All the inserts are the same. I KNOW I KNOW.
Just some inserts sit differently in the bezel AND CAN CHANGE THE LOOK OF THE PLEXI HEIGHT

Most t19’s in the market the last few years are aftermarket as well. Something to consider while you argue.
