Thoughts on this 5513

Hi!
The 5513 is a reference I’m not very familiar with and I came across this example I don’t really know what to think of...
The owner claims to be the 2nd one and that the watch has never been touched since its production in 1979.
From what I’ve been able to compare on various websites, the dial would be a maxi mk2 but is the insert a later service part or aftermarket? The pearl seems to be circled...that would indicate luminova instead of tritium, no?
Is it even worth asking more detailed pictures or is there an evident red flag I’m not seeing (if not the insert!)
Thx!

I'm a bit skeptical about the "never been touched" claim, especially the lugs,
and thats just for starters.

OP - your questions would be answerable if we had some notion of what is be asked for the watch. It looks quite good on the surface but, this would change if the price was crazy high. The dial is very similar to mine and, overal, the watch looks much like my 5513 in terms of condition. I’m guessing that the circle in the center of the dial is a dust ring from the hands? Is there some debris under them that would create that dust swept effect?

I didn’t even notice that circle! I checked the font, the position of every letter but didn’t even see that!

I asked for more detailed pictures of the dial and of each lug

The asked price would be 11k$, probably negotiable...

What about the insert? The font is too thin to be period correct isn’t it?

Got a fast answer! The seller thinks this circle is indeed scratching from the hands!

Next...

I have rarely met a 50 year old watch that has been "untouched"...I have to laugh every time I hear this...especially since there are obvious signs it has been touched.

Its not bad looking other than the circle...but it would be odd if the hands were dragging at that point on the dial...yet another sign that its been "touched" and a clue that the toucher didn't know what he/she was doing.

Under looks to be aftermarket, and those lugs are shiny like chrome!
The dial is yet another story. There's better out there for that kind of money.
