What are the odds?

Of my local AD trading my perfect D Series TT Blue Sub, for a Z series SeaDweller? Do you guys think it would be a fair trade for both parties? Suggestions please. And I'm not interested in the "Sell your TT outright response" I'm just curious if it is an even-up trade, in you guys minds?

Opinions Please.....

Thanks, Bob

In my mind it certainly is not a fair trade.

But you may need to trade in your BLUE IS IT quote. Good luck!

I would think it's a deal an AD would take...

You might have to shop AD's, but You should be able to find one who could see a win-win for you both...

Go to www.preownedrolex.com and see what both watches are selling for in great but pre-owned condition. Then do the math with the knowledge that the AD pays 56% of list price to Rolex for his watches. I have not done the math, but I'm thinking that an even trade would be a bad deal for you.

PS Unless you're planning to dive deeper than 1000 ft, but less than 4000 ft, there's no way I'd trade a TT Blue for a SD. Pls forgive me, but I got my new TT Blue less than a month ago and there's just no way I'd even joke about getting rid of something I wanted for so long.

Fair trade for me, or the AD?

Good point Rawhyde, I do love the TT Blue, just looking for a change, maybe the best thing for me is to keep Blue, and, get a SeaDweller

You are totally taking advantage of the AD. I tend to be a little biased in these matters though.

Watch out for JJ, the next thing you know you will be investing in an invitro-fertilization sheep ranch in NZ.

That to me is not a fair trade. An almost new TT Blue Sub that retails for $7825 for new SD?

No way.

I have some buyer's remorse about my SS Sub Date that I had bought from my AD.

I had worn it for a MONTH, but phoned him and asked if I could get the SD instead by swapping it, and he told me that if the Sub Date was perfect in conditon, he would do so.

And he did! I even got my 10 % discount on the SD, too, and only had to pay the price difference that there is between the two.

Depends what you want. I had a TT blue sub, nice watch.

But somehow was not me, a little too much for me. I can wear a TT DJ no problem, but the blue and gold, although beautiful, was just too flashy. Only Rolex I have ever owned that I was really worried about scratching. So I never wore it much.

If you do not wear your TT sub and will wear a SD, then it might not be that bad of a trade.
