X2 for Nomos. They have very stylish models, and they sell great suede straps for about $70 that you can use to dress them down a bit.

My picks are:

Tudor Heritage Chrono -- retail $4425
IWC Mark XVIII -- retail $3950
Grand Seiko SBGX291 -- retail $3300

Significant discounts should be attainable on all three

In particular, my GS sbgx291 has been a really versatile watch. 100m WR, magnetic resistant, accurate to 10 seconds per year... And looks decent with a suit. Not bad

Speedmaster Moonwatch is always the answer..

Although this caught my eye the other day:

Grand Seiko, the Hi Beats can be had second hand within your budget and are a step up in accuracy and quality compared to your Rolex

I would go slightly pre-owned and look at the Tudor Black Bay, Pelagos or the Heritage Chronograph. I would also look at the Omega Speed Master.

There are thousands of watches under that price point.

What style?
Dress?
Sports?
Stainless steel?
Leather strap?
Bracelet?
Functions or complications?

What have you looked at?
What do you like?

Speedmaster. A Chronograph is a nice way to diversify.

I had a Tudor BB Red But after a short time I had to sell it for the Ranger, for me it's my perfect work/tool/beater, There's just something about the whole package that captivated me.

1st choice Tudor, then Seiko or Omega. Good luck making a decision.

As said Grand Seiko, speedy, Tudor, if even cheaper Tissot. I’ve had one 23 years it’s an auto never serviced and still works perfect.

I own a Tudor Range and it's fantastic. It is 41mm so if you like small watches this could be a problem.
Otherwise super watch, and mine is accurate to-1/+1 a day.

Speedy, Grand Seiko, Tudor or maybe a JLC master if you look hard enough. A little more and you could add a 5 digit polar Explorer 2

I miss my white Omega Aqua Terra. Tudor BB, Grand Seiko, Nomos work. Lots of on target suggestions here. Let us know what you get,

I like these ideas of the grand seiko.

I've found (totally only my opinion) that there seems to be a chasm of Rolex vs Breitling owners, some but not much crossover. I've been on a Superocean Heritage 46 (either version I or II) kick lately.

For all those suggesting the Tudors, I was just reading and found that the Superocean Heritage version II, non-chronograph, is now using a Tudor movement. So -- OP, you can therefore say you're getting a Tudor AND a Breitling if that helps you decide!

Speedmaster Pro or Tudor BB/Pelagos if you buy from a trusted seller. My favourite is the Pelagos - I think it is among the best value for money in a modern Swiss mechanical watch you can buy.

For that price point: Omega SpeedMaster Professional, Datejust TT / SS 16234. Plus I think a Tudor can also be had in that range.
