So I guess the lesson here is B&P is important if you plan on selling them in the future. Personally, if the seller is legit, B&P is not as important to me.

Papers are worth at least $1k when trading in a Rolex regardless how old it is. I know this first handed when I had 99% of everything but 1 small piece of paper when trading to a forum trusted dealer. It’s either you have everything or you don’t. If you don’t, it’s worth a $1k deduction in the real world.

you need original box and warranty, plus purchase receipt with the watch serial no. printed on it, that's the belt and braces that I would want,

sadly, it seems hard to get all 3 whenever I look for a pepsi.

if I sold my gmt, these are the 3 things I have to offer the buyer.

For those of you that bought without B&P, how difficult was it for you later on to sell without those B&P?

Did your watch sit for a long time because you didn't have the B&P?
Did you have to drop your price a few times to sell it?
When it was all said and done, did you regret not having the B&P?

I'm looking right now and I've seen both with and without.
The price difference without is very tempting.

For me papers are important only during the warranty period. After that they are pretty much useless. Now with that being said you will be able to sell it easier if you have them because some guys will only buy with papers because they get that warm fuzzy feeling thinking its all original with the paperwork. I would also say its more important to buy the Seller meaning if there is a problem how likely are you to get after the sale warranty and/or service? Very very important.....
