Fun Q? about your Rolex and Dating.

ok ,this is just a made up scenario, Here it is, let's say you go on your first date with this girl, 40 ish..etc.
your are going for coffee .
Do you wear your Rolex or do you put on a casual watch? low price range?
Rolex, might be suggesting you have money, etc so the girl might be influenced..thinking this guy is loaded...let's have a good time and spend some of his coins..heheh . I would not want to attract a woman for the wrong reason.
What do you people think? let's have some fun with this.

cheers. now if you think the age of the lady can generate a different response, let's hear it, same for you ladies, what 's your take on this, would you wear your Rolex on the first date with a stranger?

If your wearing the Rolex and you have a lot of cash you probably wont mind spending it on her if you feel she is worth it.
on the other hand, if you've saved up a lot to attain the single Rolex and she thinks yuo have money, it will soon be apparent you do not.

Gentlemen. Can we all agree that we pay for it one way or another? Therefore, if something so shallow as a watch influences her desire to provide access to it, so be it.

well, what i am trying to say is, she might want to date you or keep dating for your money and not for you...
i don't know too many people who have a Rolex and are dirt poor... making minimum wage, there might be some but that 's not the majority.

SO you guys are saying hell yes i will wear my Rolex on the 1st date.

I file this thread in the 'You're overthinking everything no one cares' file. It's all in your head and you should be able to have the girls number pretty quick regarding her value system. Depending on her view of you and how you conduct yourself; she may even wonder if you're sporting a fake for all you know. Avoid thinking about these things and focus on her.

When I met my wife on our first date at a restaurant I was wearing a Sub. She never paid any attention to what was on my wrist. I think she was much more interested in getting to know the person that the Rolex was strapped onto. YMMV.

Nope - I'm going bare wristed and without any other adornments. Possibly in a rental car so the true colors of first impression may be viewed in all their splendor. Only when I have enough facts to know her intentions will anything of value be displayed down the road.

Then again I am the type who strolls into an AD or car dealership in nike's finest sweats and a tshirt just to see if the service is up to snuff or if I get snubbed. If it's a snub I move on just as I would if I thought my date had monetary motives.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who does this.

Even if she would notice the watch, which is unlikely, it’s going to be a small part of the overall vibe. It really depends on the person. Jason Mamoa could probably wear an “iced out” DD, and his date would barely notice.

Always wear your Rolex but if you're worried about her being a golddigger make her pay. Best way to also build up the Rolex fund. If you want a PM Rolex, also add no sex unless she buys you expensive (returnable) gifts.

Was good to see him back with Khalesi, they got off to a very very rocky start but it worked for them in the end. Like I said above flip things around.

Unless she is a WIS she isn’t likely to know what brand of watch you are wearing.

My wife won’t let me date anymore but if I was dating I’d wear whatever I wanted.

If I have to worry about the watch, I would say the car that you are driving is more noticeable.

This...

And, if she judges me by my watch, it'll come out soon enough...I will treat her accordingly.

This thread should have been closed after this post. We as men pay for sex directly or indirectly. Doesn't matter how you make it sound its the bottom line.

A watch isn’t something that a woman notices on a man, unless she is one of those scam artists you hear about that will meet a guy in the bar and drug him to steal his watch (-;

Shoes on the other hand— make sure you get that right!
