5726A can you buy the straps afterwards?
Hi guys so i'm looking at adding the 5726 in SS to my collection and see that there is one with a bracelet and one with a strap. I would have thought that these are interchangeable as they are the same watch. However the AD told me Patek will not sell or fit a strap for example if I bought the bracelet version . Is this true?? Seems odd when the parts exist and it's not like i'm doing some crazy configuration....
Also which one will you guys for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There's a guy on instagram who has the 5980r-001 which should be on leather strap on the full rose gold bracelet so it must be possible with the 5726 too.
Initially I was going to get the 5726 on leather strap but have gone with a different model. Considering you already have the 5990 going for the leather strap would be a nice point of difference. |

I have the 5726 on bracelet. I'm told the end links are different from the strap end links. You'd need to go after market for a strap if you get the bracelet. If you get the strap version, you wouldn't be able to add the bracelet later.

Yeah i find it so intriguing. Like sure the "end" pieces are different but that can easily be supplied as a set with the strap. But Patek simply does not want to sell it. I just find this so weird. Its just a tiny metal piece. I guess if I want to go strap, then I really have to get the strap version....

Thanks everyone. I already have a 5990 so I think I'm ok on the bracelet front though I very much agree bracelet is indeed awesome.

There are 2 protruding pins inside the endlink of the strap, which I suspect cannot fit on the bracelet version of the watch.
I thought strap 5726 is pm only not available for stainless steel? Please correct if I am mistaken.

I had one of the first to be released, which was only a strap model. When they released the bracelet model, I went to my AD to order a bracelet. I was also told it would not work because of the end links and Patek would be no help.
