Pretty much hate the 5990, only Nautilus which I wouldn't wear, so anything else is better for me

I'm surprised there is so much hate for the 5990. Seems like more people are fond of the 5726 than the 5990, I expected the opposite.

Can't stand the dial, seems empty and strange, plus the pushers on the left kind of kill it for me, also not a chrono fan, and prefer the slimmer 5726, but some prefer it to the 5726, just not everyone

5990 without a doubt for me. Not a fan of the 5726 myself though so wouldn't even consider that one.

the 5726 and the 5167 would do it for me! light and dark dials and complicated vs simple watch. I think that combo is a home run!

I agree I am going with that combo and will add a Chronograph 5170r black dial in the near future as a dressy piece.

The title of the thread is not consistent with the text above. Are we comparing:

5726 vs. 5990, or
5726+5167 vs. 5990?

If the first, my vote would probably go to 5990 (though I would agonize in doubts, to be honest), if the latter my vote would easily go to the Nauti+Aqua combo.

It's comparing the duo of 5726 and 5167 versus the 5990. I am getting the 5726 and should be picking up the aquanaut this month.
